Excellent wine & tagliatelle al tartufo

After a long drive we ended up in Montepulciano and had an authentic and nice snack at Le Rime! The tagliatelle al tartufo were simply amazing and the wine as well. The owner even served us some salami & cheese with the wine! It is not situated at the main square and you have cars passing by, but that's how Italy is like! We loved it and left with some bottles of wine from there!

Coffee and a chat

Stopped here for morning coffee and ended up having a great chat with the owner. Didn’t have time to go back for a wine in the afternoon but the selection looked awesome.
The outside tables look down the street out to the view - awesome.

Terrific friendly host on a hillside tavern

The wine recommendations were magnificent and the host very friendly. What makes this unique is the outside private/public table on the street. After a day of bread and pasta, I ordered grilled vegetables, and oh so yummy!! Convenient Parking just down the hill! Make this a stop if you are in hill country!!!

Amazing Amazing Amazing

The host knew his wines and food. Such a lovely man we so very much enjoyed our restaurant experience. A Scottish family who actually live in Australia in Italy to celebrate our sons 21st birthday. A must to dine in and the prices are so reasonable. A restaurant to visit and enjoy.

Delicious food with friendly service

We stopped in Le Rime as one of the few restaurants open in the late afternoon. We ordered the Peposa, a marinated meat in wine and pepper, which was super rich and delicious. The chicken in a lemon sauce was also very good. The service was excellent. Mimmo, the owner, was very friendly and made the perfect recommendations. Will be back our next time in Montepulciano.
